Thomas Puati Mabiala (Show/Hide Profile »)
President and CEO
GDC is owned by the founder, Thomas Puati Mabiala. Mr. Mabiala is a member of its Chief Family of the lower Congo, and a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
He is a devout Christian who is commissioned to better the lives of the peoples of Africa.
His portfolio of work includes:
- Executive Administrator of the Democratic Republic of Congo Government
- Executive Administrator for United Nations High Commission for Refugees in the Central African Region
- World Bank
- World Health Organization
- State Banking Commission for the North Carolina Department of Commerce
Mr. Mabiala maintains numerous contacts with the heads-of-state and government leaders.
Mr. Mabiala is a former government official of Zaire, which later became the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he worked in the World Bank Office in Praigefi. He also worked for the United Nations and World Health Organization as High Commissioner for refugees.
In 1997, he emigrated to the United States with his family in order to denounce the invasion of the Congo by surrounding countries, a crisis that has claimed over 5 million Congolese lives. He was forced to seek political asylum for himself and his family and has since worked for the State Government Office of Banking for the Department of Commerce in North Carolina, before creating GDC.
Thomas is also President and Founder of Global Transformation Ministries, a non-profit organization that helps take care of the homeless, by providing spiritual and social support and providing micro-financing programs in the African nations where his company operates.
Ms. Robin Roberts (Show/Hide Profile »)
International Executive Director
Ms. Robin Roberts is the International Executive Director of GDC
Ms. Roberts is a business woman and educator by profession. With a Masters Degree
from the University of Tennessee, Ms. Roberts has served in a variety of Directorships
for Non-Government Organizations (NGO). Her body of work includes professional development,
advocacy, communication, and network development of divergent groups, in both the public and private sectors.
Ms. Roberts has traveled extensively nationally and internationally with Mr. Mabiala in the presentation of
Global Development Company to heads-of-state and government officials.
Dr. Kim Tungate (Show/Hide Profile »)
Office of Planning & Strategic Direction
Dr. Kim Tungate serves as the Director of GDC for the Central African Region with focus on the Republic of Congo, Dr Congo, Burundi and Cameroon.
A resident of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Dr. Tungate has a prolific work background that includes rural agriculture cooperative development in Kenya,
International rural agriculture production, as well as Research and education in agricultural practices. Dr. Tungate also has experience with Fund raising
and management of construction.
Degreed from Indiana University and North Carolina State University, Dr. Tungate currently is a candidate for a Masters
of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her emphasis will be Environmental Risk. Dr. Tungate is a published author and has
numerous professional memberships as well as teaching experience. She is well traveled internationally and once served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya.
In her capacity with GDC, Dr. Tungate works closely with projects in the Central African Region where she oversees GDC programs in countries within the region.
As a GDC representative, Dr. Tungate will also be working with the Government of Congo on expanding research and development of Bio-Fuels, Bio-Mass and Windmills
power generation.
Ms. Grace K. Mabiala (Show/Hide Profile »)
Administrative Officer
Ms. Grace K. Mabiala is the Administrative Officer for GDC. Ms. Mabiala has over 8 years experience in this profession and has served in a variety of positions
in both national and international concerns.
